Hate Mehesh met Dai A famous oil painting by Dutch painter Johannes Vermeer in 1665, in which
a pearl pendant has been used as the focus. The painting is currently housed at the  Mauritshuis
Museum in The Hague, Netherlands. In 2006, the Dutch public selected it as the most beautiful painting
in the Netherlands. It is also called "Mona Lisa of the North" or "Dutch Mona Lisa".

This painting is a Tronie, Dutch 17th century “Head” description that is not meant to be a replica.
That is a European girl wearing foreign clothing, oriental turban and a possible pearl earring. At 25,
the Dutch astronomer Vincent Ike doubts the image’s earrings and presents some of his own
arguments. After the biggest reunion of the painting in 1994 , the fine color scheme and eye-catching attention of the girl to the viewer have grown tremendously.
